Tattoo law in South Carolina?

Is there a law in South Carolina that says you can be 16 and have parents permission or a parents signature and get a tattoo? Because I know is North Carolina, you HAVE to be 18, no if's, and's, or but's.

I couldn't find anything on the laws in South Carolina because up until recently it was still all illegal there. I would call a few shops and ask... and even if the law says under 18 with consent some artists won't do it.... why not wait until you are 18...
