I've read each book at least 10 times, except for the 6th. I've only read it 3, because I can only put myself through that emotional trauma so many times!
But I am such a nerd...my sister or my cousin and I will be talking HP and I will pull out my books, (which have notes and stuff underlined...I am such an English major) and turn to stuff to prove my point! LOL

I started acquiring them when my 14-year-old cousin was telling me about Harry Potter. He was around 10-11 at the time. He was so excited that I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I got HOOKED! I bought the first three as a set and the next ones as they were published. I now have a complete paperback set of them. I have read them from cover-to-cover, beginning with the first book and not doing much of anything else until I finished the last one.
I even started collecting the VHS movie series, but I had to quit when they stopped making VHS -- I don't have a DVD player and don't want to invest in one. Everywhere you go now, all you see is DVD's -- no VHS. Reminds me of when 8-tracks used to be sold, then disappeared when cassettes came about.
You youngsters won't know what I'm talking about, but those raised in the 60s will remember 8-tracks, cassettes, and even BETA-type movies. And, remember the actual RECORDS? Not tapes or CD's. Those things that you had to have a "record player" for in order to listen to music! And I don't even know what iPod stands for, but all the youngsters say they're all the rage and my cousin (same one listed above) was thrilled to get one for Christmas.
Okay, I've rambled on enough... aaahhhh, the "good old days"...

Some books more than 7 times, part 3 in about 5 times
wonderful books, but yeh, I love other books too. Some moments I read al the books after each other (in 2 weeks time)(and then I am really a freak) and after this period I start to read other books and let HP behind me

5 times so far... But they were brought and translated in Romania (where i live) much later than they were published, so i had lots of time between books. Before every new book, i read the old ones once again. Now i am reading them again, this time in english, and i'm taking my time, trying to discover how the series will end.

I am on my fourth round of reading the entire series-it really is excellent stuff-I love a broad range of writings, including classics, non-fiction, biographies, etc but genius is genius. Rowling has mastered the genre and your right-the books are packed with information and hidden clues! Better each time I've read them.

I'm probably the only person on earth who hasn't read 'em. No interest. Maybe when the seventh one comes out I'll read them all at once.

Four or five, at least. I plan to start again to re-read them as soon as the release date for the seventh book is announced. That way I have it all fresh in my head when I read the seventh one.
I can't wait!!! What's taking so long?

No joke, I've read each one at least five times. Every time I see something that I missed, even if it's small. After I found one thing, it made me want to read it again to find more.
