Sure you can...if youre used to spicy foods.
However in moderation cuz your body has changes going on and may react poorly. Your stomach and your intestines. Also, the uterus is pushing up on your stomach and squishing your intestines. Anything irritating may lead to contractions...and those arent good. Take care. Have a healthy pregnancy and baby!!
Oh p.s. not recommended if youre going to nurse... what you eat, remember, will affect your milk, hence, your baby. ;)

Spicy food will definitely give you heartburn when you're pregnant, but I couldn't stay away from it when I was carrying my daughter! All I ever wanted was Salsa Verde Doritos!! Just try not to eat anything spicy in the evening, and you should be okay. Also go to Sams and get a ginormous bottle of TUMS.

I asked my doc about this. I am 5 months preg and all i crave is Cheese and anything spicy. One day I ate a whole jar of those little red sausages, then made hubby take me to get hot wings. My doc said It is fine as long as your getting other vitamins from other foods, but watch cause it gives me awful heartburn but I still cant stop. Take Tums if u have heartburn my doc said those were the safest, or drink milk. Good Luck!!

My wife always ate spicy foods when she was pregnant. Some women say they get indigestion, but my wife did not suffer from it. There's no harm in trying the foods you like, but have some Tums ready just in case.
FYI: Tums is supposed to be safer than other antacids during pregnancy.

I ate all kinds of spicy foods throughout my first pregnancy, although if you have problems with heartburn, or morning sickness I would be cautious. Although whenever I did eat spicy stuff my son would kick me for hours afterward. (he still loves spicy stuff and he is now two)

They can but in moderation. Due to the foetus in the stomach, the diaphragm is already pushed up, lots of acidity...hot & spicy food will aggravate the acidity problem...

eat something spicy & wait. if baby jumps around (it will literally feel like baby is going boing boing boing in your belly... well it did for me) than baby may not have liked it. if you get heart burn and depending on you comfort level and how close your tums are & baby doesn't get mad than i think you're ok but if your heart burn is really uncomfortable & tums cannot soothe it (or makes it worse) then i'd stick to bland.
