Is the murder of the policeman enough to convince people we need tougher laws on illegals?

Why don't people take a look at the bad things illegals do instead of try to make them hard working sounding people. I live around plenty of them and they pile up in a small apartment, work a few hours a week each, and drink beer when they get up in the morning, I know this because I see it every day. A useless illegal took the life a policeman, which we don't have enought of in this town, where as we have too many illegals.

Yes i agree, To anyone who disagrees and think it is o.k to have illegals in the country , Why don't you shoulder the 68billion dollar bill that they accumulate by living here.
Coming into the country without the appropraite channels or a VISA is a crime, All illegals should be sent back to their own countries.

not all illegals are murderers, this one just happened to be that stupid or that desperate. he will now probably get his wish to stay in america. in jail on death row at a cost to american taxpayers. it doesn't seem fair does it, that an american citizen died, for him to remain in this country.

not all of the illegal people are hard working, honest and sane. but neither are all americans. so try not to be too bitter or angry. the powers that be have to undo 75 years of facilitating; the illegals that have been a great benefit to big businesses. this facilitation has always undermined, the labor force of native born and naturalized americans. i think that better policing of the borders is necessary. and also that certain psychological and more defensive skills must be taught to our policemen. the current situation with the illegal immigrants is stressful on just about everyone and the resolution ain't gonna be easy or simple.

I live in the North East of the country and all the Mexicans (who i assume you are referring to) here are pretty hard working and family oriented. I don't mind them at all. Also I'd be willing to bet that there are very few cases of "illegals" killing police men compared to legal citizens killing police.

I am sympathetic to the loss of the officer as my cousin died in the line of duty as a Delaware State Trooper. But I really don't think that many of these illegal immigrants are causing too many social problems or committing many crimes (aside from those involving immigration) in the grand scheme of things. The bigger issue is how much they are a burden to our finances and how can we enforce immigration?

Thats too gross a generalization to be valid. The case of one person killing another should not represent or reflect two entire populations (that being Illegal vs Legal.)

I live in FL, trust me there are illegals everywhere. Many of them have their problems, but many of them also have good hearts with decent intentions. Many of them have fled a country not for the dream of "free" money and "free" living, but because there is no hope for advancement, not hope to support theirselves in their own dictated, drug-lord run countries.

Now if you want to go to a random parking lot every morning and chill waiting for someone to pick you up in a truck to go pick fruit for 11 hours so you can *hopefully* get 20 bucks, be my guest. The fact is SOMEONE has to do those jobs for the rest of us to eat.

Having illegals in our country is not an ideal situation, but your post here is ridiculous. I'm sure you have many valid points towards your opinion, although many of them may be based off of more soletary experiences, but you havn't given them.

Your Texas President is one of the people responsible for the flood of illegals, you know. He wants to make it easy for his business buddies to get cheap Mexican labor, and he also wants to avoid getting all the immigrants in Florida riled up, lest he lose the Florida vote in the next elections. Why don't you write your own congressmen and senators to complain to the people who have the power to change the laws?

Wow, I guess we all better leave because ALL ethnic groups commit crimes and NONE of us except Native Americans belong here. If you are talking about Mexicans then shame on you because it was OUR government that pushed them out of our country, took away California and put a fence up. Either we all need to work together or we all need to go back to be with our "Own Kind" (since we are seperating ourselves by ethnic group).

You really should be ashamed for even asking a question like this. You're not even asking yourself the reasons why people decide to come to your country - there's wars going on in the world, people are being tortured, women and children being raped and murdered.

Also you need to think about the fact that citizens kill as well. Are you wanting to do something about citizens as well???

Well, I feel for your situation, but it's not the general public you need to convince.

You need to convince the government that we need tougher laws, and not just tougher laws on illegals, but for everything. Convince your prosecuters.
