You promised to lend your last $500 (except the $2) to someone?
Well, since you no longer have it, you can't lend it.
If he is your friend, and you have no money whatsoever, then, yes you CAN tell him your current situation, and must.
Don't know what to say about the backstabbing friends (unless they stole the money, in which case, notify law-enforcement), as they do not seem to be the worst of your worries at the moment.
Sorry, but I don't know what to say about all this. Is there anyone who can help you out? Or even lend a sympathetic ear?
Not knowing what health care options are available for your father, I'm at a loss there, too.
Your current unhappiness is certainly understandable under even half of these circumstances.
I'd be surprised if anyone seeing your words on a computer could type anything helpful here.
But time will go on, and something will happen, and ten years from now all of this will have happened ten years ago.
Don't know what else to say. I only clicked Answer because no one else had submitted any response at all.
Seek the sanest person you know to talk to. Knowing you and your circumstances, they will be in a better position to advise than I am.

Althought this is very disheartening to you, it is also very foolish on your part. This is a no win situation.
Face these facts:
1. You sound like you are not in ANY position to be in the lending business. If you do not have a reserve (rainy day money) which you would not miss or need in the event it was never returned to you, then you should not be lending money to anyone. Not even relatives or best friends.
2. If your friend is NOT taking responsibility for his own life and his own actions, should he really be doing an internship at this time? If he does not have family or friends there in Liverpool, to lend him the money what does that tell you? That maybe he already over borrowed from all of them? He should defer it to when he is able to handle his own responsibilities.
(HINT: I am your new best friend.. can You Lend me a million dollars? )
3. Why on earth would you feel that your financially OBLIGATED to carry the load of someone elses debts?
4. With your father being ill, you should be squeezing the copper right out of every penny you can get your hands on. Medical needs (especially of loved ones) should be your formost priority in life.
SAVE all your own money and leave others to their own debts. You cannot carry the world on your own shoulders. Tell your friend in Liverpool to get a part time job at McDonalds and get his own money and deal with his own responsibilities.
5. There are so many scammers out there in the world who are users. I would lay money on him also asking about 15 other women on the net to help him out just as well. There is a infestation of leeches on the net all wanting handouts. All wanting to scam another person. It is part of Society's decay.
6. What are the contingencies upon you lending him money? Is it the 4th grade "if you dont lend me that money I wont be your friend anymore"? senario?
7. I happen to know (I lived in the uk) that the education system is FREE! There are governmental agencies who he can work with for the funding of his Internship and all education. All their medical and educations are free!!!! He saw you coming !!!
IF he/she is such a good friend, then why can't you just be honest with them and tell them it was stolen and you really dont have enough money to be lending it out to anyone.
NOTE TO ALL YOU LADIES OUT THERE IN NETLAND:
STOP letting these men try to use you for various reasons, using the "I love you" scam! If there are strings attached to friendships and relationships... PASS THAT PERSON up!!! NO ONE needs leeches in their lives.
Honesty wins every time. So does keeping your money locked up to be used by no one but yourself.
Good luck.

Well, you have to tell him and tell him the turth. But who ever stole the money must have needed it much more than you. Since u only had $2 on your bank card it isn't hardly worth getting upset over. Then you father is ill spend more time with him and you'll forget about all your other problems Good luck and we are all broke if that makes you feel any better.

Do what your coronary heart tells you. If shade gaurd is that significant then you definately could attempt to maintain your grades with out them dropping. yet while it makes issues lots harder and the cons outway the pros then you definately're making the call.

You can change nothing that has happened. You can choose how you will respond. Will these events make you stronger or drive you into a negative whirlpool? What can you learn and take from this debris?

Doesn't sound like you have much choice. You have to tell your friend that the money was stolen. That is a bummer!

Sell your computer and wire him the money.
Get an extra job and send him the money a little late.
