They're all hospital dramas, but what is unique about each?

I wouldn't call Scrubs a drama. It's more of a comedy. ER is a drama but it's not very personal. Grey's Anatomy has much better character development than either Scrubs or ER.

ER revolves around the emergency room; hence the name ER. It's the most dramatic of the three. It's also past it's prime.

Grey's anatomy is a Scrubs rip-off (first person narrative, identical chracter types...), and deals with unrealistic cases and situations. I would put it in the fantasy category. Interns performing surgery? A prom in the hospital? Doctors having sex with interns? Killing someone to get him a heart? Who the f*ck would go to this hospital? Sex sells, though.

Scrubs is a comedy, but has deep undertones. When they do have dramatic moments, they're better than any episode of Grey's or ER put together. All silliness aside, it's the best show out of the 3, and it's where most of Grey's gets it's inspiration.

Scrubs is a comedy. ER is a drama about several people, Grey's Anatomy is a drama and a comedy about 1 person looking at different points of view. I liked them all.

Scrubs is comedy. It is sometimes realistic and brings up issues that goes on in our health systems. It can be sarcastic, which I love so much. E.R. is serious drama and is targeted for all ages. It can touch you in the heart many times. You can get in to the characters. And Grey's anatomy is more like a soap opera. Does not really focus so much on the operating table. More like who sleeps around with who.

i don't think scrubs is a drama, i've never watched it, but i'm pretty sure it's supposed to be a comedy. er is geared more toward older audiences, while grey's targets the younger audience. grey's anatomy is a very good show and from what i've heard, the majority if not all of the medical cases have happened in reality, so it's a good learning program too :)

What are you serious? 1-Dr Mcdreamy 2-Burke the two sexes MDs on tv now-- and the story lines are more drama than hospital-the hospital is just the background and the characters are the show -- if you haven't watched Grey's --watch it you'll be hooked. Scrubs is mostly comic relief--and I haven't watched ER in years--but it was pretty good too-very serious

i think that...

scrubs is more into comedy (there's always a segue after each scene)

ER is hard-hitting medical drama

and

the story of grey's anatomy is more focused on the interns and who they sleep with. (but i love this show the best because of dr. mc dreamy)

Scrubs is a comedy first and foremost, ER is a medical drama first and foremost, and Grey's Anatomy is about sex first and foremost.

Scrubs goes into these fantasy sequences, ER focuses on the hospital and from what i've been told, Gray's is rather soap-opera-ish
