Love quotes taken out of context.
Should be paraphrased as " You can tell them again and again, but some people just won't be told (exasperation)".
Isaac Asimov (science fiction writer, science consultant to nearly every space agency and leading thinker of our generation) suggests that " for intelligent species to meet and recognise each other as intelligent is so improbable as to be almost impossible".
He based his theory on the mathematics of life, civilisation, planets and the universe. Don't want to get into it, but I have had his workings explained and he is right.
To paraphrase a leading comic writer, "It is amazing how the US government has managed to keep UFO's secret, given their success at keeping all their other secrets."
The only possibility that their is alien life on this planet is if it was here already, and they are us.
I'm not saying there are not unexplained things going on, but they are not aliens.
