Its pretty important. No one wants to look bad....some people say they dont care, but you catch them looking in the mirror here and there.

I like having good looking friends. Its not a requirement, but if my friends have nice features, passed down from their family, then its a plus.

Id say most of my friends are average, to above average looking. Some are a little ...not so physically attractive, but their personalities acutally help them to look better.

Physical appearance is of course the first thing to catch my eye but that only lasts for a second. If someone lacks education, is ignorant, or an a**hole it's not even worth the time. A lot of younger people tend to think looks are important but when people get older they generally figure out what actually matters. Obviously not all people b/c after all plastic surgeons do get a lot of business with cosmetic surgery but I feel bad for people that think they have to pay all that money to change their appearance when in a lot of cases is their insecurity and lack of personality or ability that dont get them what they want in life.

I hate to say this but Physical attractivenness is important. Mother nature programmed us that way.

Physical attractiveness can have a significant effect on how people are judged, in terms of employment or social opportunities, friendship, sexual behavior, and marriage. In many cases humans attribute positive characteristics, such as intelligence and honesty, to attractive people without consciously realizing it. Certain aspects of such attribution behavior have been scientifically documented.

I hope this helps, but this as you know varies with cultures, and its only important as a first impression after that other attributes take over.

I have seen so called 'ugly' people-I hate using the word making themselves more attractive by being nicer, interested in other people etc,and you know what- it works.

It is the sincerity that makes the person attractive!

For me, good self image is important because it'll boost some people confidence level. And sometimes, we learn alot about a person through what they wear.

Physical attractiveness here, i presumed, what the person is borne with. Or a description. Well, in my opinion, it is not as important especially if you are talking about getting yourself a partner or spouse.

I like to look my best. I don't go out without makeup and having styled my hair. As for others, I would date someone plain or even ugly if he were funny, had good hygiene, and was kind. Looks aren't all that important.

i imagine it truly relies upon on the fellow. some human beings take the very undeniable truth that they are not the most appealing man or woman better harshly than others. i realized in case you get to understand someone and also you already comprehend they have a cool personality or they have reliable features, you word attractiveness once you already comprehend how satisfied they are with themselves.

i am not really into being perfect. i dont get up early and paint my face everyday. i was always a bit of a tom boy growing up and i never liked pink or painted my fingernails. i like to smell good though. i dont mean i go out looking like a train wreck. i make sure to dress nice and brush my hair and stuff. as for other people, my hubby got chubby a bit since we got hitched and i still see him as my hero. he is still the sexiest man alive, it doesnt matter if he goes bald or anything. the world is too obsessed with outer beauty, we need to learn to see people for who they are.

Fairly important--it's what catches my eye, but I don't base my perceptions based on looks alone. If a person is totally hot but has no personality, then there can be no relationship there for me.

In myself it's 90%, but I don't expect the same of others. I think I genuinely look for personality in other people.

Well i'd rather date a super hot jerk rather than a lovey-dovey ugly guy. Alot of people try to say that looks don't matter, but good looks are always a plus.
