At night, my the lighting in my bedroom SUCKS! I have a desk lamp, and a floor lamp. The floor lamp isn't enough to illuminate the room, and my desk lamp is getting old. The ceiling is very high up, and getting fixtures installed on the celiling would be rather expensive. I am usually on the COMPUTER for most of the day, and I need some light/lamp suggestion so it's more relaxing to work on the computer at night. YOUR SUGGESTIONS ARE WELL APPRECIATED!

If you have only a lamp or two, I highly recommend using a light bulb made by GE called The Reveal Bulb. It's sold at most Walmarts and anywhere you would buy lightbulbs. Costs about $3.00 for 4. Use a 75 watt for a regular type lamp, you will be AMAZED at the way this bulb will produce white, bright light. That's what it does, the other bulbs produce a yellow colored light that causes a room to look dim. That causes your eyes to strain and can make you depressed and feel tired. The Reveal Bulb whitens, and therefore you see better, people even look better in this type of light and you feel awake. All this because of a "lightbulb". TRUST ME.

First of all, what color is the paint you have? If it's a darker color, try painting you're room a white or a very light blue. Light blue reflects light really well. Blue lights put off a lot of light too, depending on the shade.

I have a really tall lamp, that has three different independent light bulbs so I can move them to point in different directions. That works really well. Or try using 3 way lightbulbs, if you're lamp will support those. You can also try the flourescent light bulbs, they not only last longer, but they are brighter too.
