Invite possible prospects out for drinks. Casually work the business angle into your evening when they have loosened up.

Talk to family and friends and cross-over into their network. It's always helpful to sell when you have mutual aquaintence. The trust factor is greatly increased for a potential new business deal.

Bottom line... you must be trustworthy. Be on time for meetings. Call when you say you're going to call. Call when you are running late or unable to make appointment... you get the point.

It depends on who the clients are for any of this to work successfully for you... the type of buisness I mean.

Good Luck.

Word of mouth is one way, actually one of the most successful. Adding what kind of clients you are looking to attract would be another.
