Gannon means the little blond or fair one, it is an Irish Gaelic name. Since my husband is very Irish, if we have a little boy we thought about naming him this.

I actually like all of them. I think out of the boys names I'd go with Isaac, but I can't decide between the girls. Maybe Avalon. It's so pretty, and uncommon.
But if he really wants that stong Irish connection, go with Gannon, definately! My son's name is Eian Micheal, which are Irish spellings of (obviously) Ian and Michael. I didn't want to use a difficult to pronounce Celtic name (not that Gannon is difficult at all!), but I wanted the Irish in there somehow.
Like someone else said, you won't be finding those on the keychains and pens and whatnot. It's not really that big a deal, but I will admit that I would like to find my son's name on something without having to special order it! And in the birth announcements that were run in the newspaper, the little card one of the nurses in the hospital wrote out, and on his birth certificate, they've spelled his name wrong.
We've changed the name on the certificate 3 times now, and his social security card is still wrong. He's 7 1/2 months old.
But I love his name, and I wouldn't change it for anything!

Anastasia for the girl, avalon reminds me of the car made by toyota. In the ad they said buy and avalon and avalon drive.
Not sure about Gannon but like conrad and love Joshua because that is my little cousins name!

My opinion is the only one I like is Issac Joshua McManus.
Avalon reminds me of the space show on SiFi channel and Anastasia the ugly step sister from Cinderella
and Gannon I can come up with a few nick names. Remember children can be cruel during the school years.
