That is a tough question to anser because many shower heads allow different amounts of water to pass through them. I know on my shower head it has a maximum flow of 2.5 gallons/minute. So during a 10 minute shower I would use 25 gallons of water. There should be a sticker (like on mine) or in the package contents that will tell you the amount of water that passes through the shower head in 10 minutes. Or, you could run the shower for ten minutes with the tub drain plugged and then remove the water in gallon jugs and other measured containers to find out.

At 5 to 8 gallons per minute, it comes to 50 to 80 gallons. A low flow showerhead would bring that down to about 250 gallons.

shower savers ususally run 2 or 2.5 gpm
some heads run up to 8 or more gpm
assuming 2 gpm - 20 gallons in 10 minutes.

okay that's all well and good, but what is the gallons or liters or whatever per minute flow rate of the water system?

it would depend on the size of pipes and pressure behind the head.
