Has anyone ever heard of a blue dot popping up on someone's tongue? If so, what the heck was it?

Sounds like maybe discoloration from an injury. Maybe you accidentally bit your tongue in your sleep. Do you have any blue discoloration elsewhere in your body? If your fingernails or toenails and lips also have blue color, see a doctor right away. You could have Cyanosis, which is a lack of oxygen in the blood.
