Coin-operated boy: Thanks for such a thorough answer. You saved me a heap of typing. Now to the question: First, you are over thinking this on a logic level that has extreme biases introduced by your assumptions that all minds work the same as yours. We are willing to risk so much hatred and alienation, not to mention the expense, to transition that there must be some incredible drive that trumps your attempts at logic on this topic. I did not understand that I had gender issues, let alone being transsexual, until I was into my 20's. This did not prevent problems and confusion earlier in life. Because I am attracted to women, I have always wanted to be with a woman. However, I did not have the drive to have sex with a woman in the same manner as most young guys. It is only in the last two years that I have understood that the way that I have always been attracted to women is different from the way that guys are attracted to women. The way that I am attracted to women is more consistent with the way that a woman is attracted to another woman. You seem to be hung up on that issue of having a penis. I have hated that piece of flesh for a long time. I thrill at the realization that the male bits are shrinking due to hormone therapy. I know that this is a concept that is hard for you to grasp, but this is why there are many people that don't understand transsexualism. Because of our brain/body mismatch, our minds play by different rules than most people. Read the site that Radgal gave you. That is the single best source of information on transsexualism on the Internet. The woman who runs that site is a brilliant transwoman who has been a key innovator in computer design.

Quite possibly. The next time I run into a lesbian I will be sure to ask her if she turns herself on, same with a gay guy!

Works out very conveniently, doesn't it? Maybe the only reason they need partners at all is for a little variety.

No, I think attraction is about another person. Unless you're Narcissus, but even he thought he was looking at someone else.

I'm sorry that makes sense to you but it doesn't to me....I love my significant others sexual parts...and she loves mine.

What? If we find robots interesting, does that mean that we want to have sex with them? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pwqW-zin8eI
