I have heard many people saying how corrupt and flawed the new Apple Macbooks are. Are these people full of it, or are the new Macbooks really as flawed as they say.

They are full of it.
There are problems with all computers, but to say that the Macbooks are corrupt and flawed is BS. Pardon my French!

There has been a recall but it is because the Sony Batteries were messed up, not the Macbooks. Other makers also had to pull out the batteries, not just Apple.

Also, there is always a time when new computers are first introduced when the manufacturing bugs are ironed out, and people who rush to get the first computers off the assembly line are taking this risk. Apple is now selling about 1 million Macbooks every 3 months, so I guess the problems have been worked out.

If you want to read a discussion of Macbook woes go here:

They discuss both the problem and the solution if there is one.

;-D I don't need a laptop, but I would get a Macbook if I did. I just saw that the Macbook will run Windows Vista better than a Sony VIAO! And Microsoft used a Macbook to demo the latest version. See the link below.

;-D I am going to get the new iMac next year. I am not sure what size, but I am leaning toward the 24 inch version.

Apple has done a lot of recalls to make the macbooks better, i definitely recommend a black one as the white ones stain and scratch very easily, one problem I have hadwith macbooks though is that they freeze more than usual, but other than that, they are way faster than an ibook, I am not sure why they freeze, but here are some of my guesses
1. mac osx is not comletely native on intel proc architecture yet
2. Intel has used a new technology called x-ram for their l2 cache, it is a new type of memory that is cheaper but ultimately slower than typical flash memory, so they can pile it on, but his should not have that kind of efffect

also unless you absolutely need a laptop right now, wait until the end of december, intel is coming out with quad core processors officially called cor quadro, which will have an almost 80% speed advantage over single cores, and i assume about 30 over dual cores
