Not around these parts.

In stating that we only use 10% of our brain ... that would insinuate that we use 10% and the rest of the brain tissue is left unused or non- essential. All parts are, in fact, used on a daily basis. What is to be questioned is "Do we use our brain to it's full capacity?" The obvious answer would be a definite no.

Unlike computers, our "hard-drive" has never been known to be "full" .... where we are unable to absorb anymore information. Our ability to absorb information is infinite, therefore, there is no such thing as a certain "percentage" when referring to the human brain's capacity. How do you calculate infinity? IMO ... you can't.

z01man21 is right except for the 1/3 part. It is only a 10% or 1/10. Of course, here in y/a some people ask questions that make think they only use 1/100.

It's much less, but then... How do we really know? Is there something inside our brains that cannot be measured? Do we have a 'sixth sense' that occupies the other percentage of the brain, and it does not result in brainwaves? Do we think we are so intelligent that we have figured out how to measure every possible function in the brain? If we think so, we truly aren't using much of it.

I think you've got it a little mixed up, bubba. It's supposed to be:
Only about 1/3 of the humans use their brain.

Its 1/4 of the brain. Why I don't know. If I used all of my brain maybe I would know. LOL

No it's not true, because I heard from the other source than you that we use just 1/10 of our mind capabilities!!!?

If we used all of it at the same time, there would be too much electrical activity for the brain to handle. You'd be having seizures.
