I've seen a few, most recently MonsterHouse, which was in theaters both 3D and regular.
The most effective however are the ones at Disneyland, and Universal Studios. I suspect Captain EO might be gone, as it had Michael Jackson in it, but it was good. Honey I shrunk the kids was also fun.
A hint for you though, if you do go to a 3D movie, the further back you sit, the better the image sticks out of the screen.
(P.S. The are coming out with The Nightmare Before Christmas in 3D soon. Might be fun.)

Freddy's dead...nightmare on elm street 5 I believe.....Hell yes they worked, looked like little demons came from the screen and out into the audience....kinda like holograms though...not "that" scary. Everyone was distributed special glasses that only worked for about the last 3 minutes of the movie. I don't still have the glasses unfortunately.

Terminator 2
yeah, the 3D was effective
I returned the 3D glasses after the show. One my friends brought his glasses home. But it does not work with TV or other movies.

I saw SpyKids 3D when I was babysitting, It made me really dizzy, but it did work. My boyfriend works at a video store and they have dozens of 3D glasses to give out when someone rents that movie.
