I was raised to "Never judge a book by it's cover". When it came to boys, I was never one for having a specific 'type.' If they were cute to me, that's all that mattered. I have dated a few guys and none of them are the same. One had blue hair, one was a musician, and one was a complete nerd. It's all about personality and how they treat me. Since I've discovered I am bi, I tend to like different girls as well. My question to you (And this includes anyone) is do you have a specific type? Guys, are there certain girls that get your attention and do you go for tall, dark, and handsome when it comes to other men? Girls, do you like macho boys or cute babyface boys, and when it comes to other ladies, do you prefer girly or butch? Just a question. I'm curious to see what kind of people everyone is attracted to. I just know, that I never thought I would ever like girls..but one day, it just happened. And she's the most gorgeous person in my eyes (Even if she doesn't know it.) Thanks!!

Daniel M. Disfunctionality-I like that word. Very nice. And I understand what you're saying about lust. But honestly, I've never seen type as meaning that. I'm just saying that when someone catches my eye, they're completely different from the last person. You will never find anything similiar about anyone I've dated. That's all I meant.

There is a difference between lust and love. Type would infer lust. After several hard relationships I have learned not to go with a type, although they are great diversions. I prefer to find a few boundaries and stick to them no matter what the other person looks like or seems like. 1) can not smoke - I am highly alergic and would soon die, 2) must have a pet - even though I am alergic I find that people with pets have learned to love and can give love, those with out pets are not as "advanced", and 3) must be family oriented - anyone with out compassion no matter how bad their life has been wont like my moods and disfunctionality.
Wow I think i made anew word. Disfunctionality - the degree to which a person tries to not fit in to find some one that will accept them.

i have always liked guys. i mean sure i've been accused of being a tad of a butch growin up.having 2 big bros would do that.i like pretty boys, boys with nice eyes, braces, nice skin, shy guys... the boy-next-door type really. then some 3 years ago, i suddenly got all confused when i started havin strange feelings about diz gal. well she sleeps in class all the time.she has that "i-don't-care" attitude.she's not a girly girl and i found her ways beautiful.then the year after that,a pretty real pretty gal.looked like korean actress song hye gyo.nice smile.sweet and nice too.and just june this year,my grammar trainer at work.she's the hottest hotsuff ever.feisty and real smart.i find not much in common bout the girls i end up liking. but one thing i am sure of, my grammar trainer is a notch above the rest.and she's the one i shall always pine for...

I am a straight girl, so I'm not attracted to other women in that sense. However, when it comes to men I'm generally attracted to quite masculine, mature looking men. Highly intelligent, well spoken and ability to express themselves is also a must for me. Compassion, kindness, open mindedness and integrity are qualities that are also essential. I do not have a specific type when it comes to appearance (except for generally the masculine thing) but I will say I'm not truly attracted to a person until I have connected with them intellectually.

Hey,
Personally I'm attracted to blondes more. I'm not sure what it is, but yea lol. Also cute guys, maybe like Jesse McCartney as an example... He's the type of guy i'd chase in the street lol. but anyone with a good heart and personality catches my eye.

I thought I had a "type" until I met my girlfriend...she broke all of my former molds!
I am definitely attracted to dark hair, light eyes in women... it's mysterious and sexy as hell.
I think having a "type" is fine as long as you're open to meeting someone who doesn't fit it...I don't think I was my gf's type when we met either, but something drew us to each other, and that's far more important. Sometimes, the type of people we're attracted to physically aren't the type of people we're most compatible with!

I tend to like stocky, goofy men and skinny, tough women. I don't know why. A therapist once suggested that since I'm a stocky, goofy woman, I have my own way of finding both a similarity and an opposite in anyone I choose to be with.

Hah, good question. :D
I don't even know which gender I'm into. That gets me frustrated sometimes. Anyway, for guys, I like those who are quiet and gentle. Like a total gentleman.
As for the ladies... I like those who have soft lips. I'm extremely turned on by girls who have soft, tender lips. :P Yea well, I like the girly ones. I mean, not exactly girly, girly, you know? Just the more feminine ones. The ones I can protect. :D

No I never had a type...I just like men...and different men for different reasons...I have friends who only have very specific type...whatever...but it's a little limiting..when so many have so much to offer.......I can be mesmerized by somebody's eyes..or arms...or chest...or whatever ...and usually a combination of everything....Gee I wish I were half the slu t like I'm sounding like I am.LOL

I think its safe to say that most people are drawn to certain body structures, coloring, even the symmetry of their faces. It may be cultural as well. What is sexually attractive changes with the society and times we live in.
