Advise him to get treatment is all you can do. He's not going to get off a meth/heroin combination without professional help.

When he's really messed up, tell him you are taking him to this really cool party and then drop him off at rehab...they'll know what to do with him. And if you can't do that, then the next time he's doing stuff, call the cops. What he's doing is illlegal. This way he'll be forced into rehab. Either way honey, rehab is your only option. Both meth and heroin are powerful drugs. He is going to need professional help, this isn't something he can kick on his own, nor is it something you can help him with.
So to sum it up, you have two options. Do nothing and slowly watch him die, or do the right thing and get him the help he deserves.

With some one like this there is not a whole lot you can do. You can pester him constantly and hopefully not push him away? you can just be his friend but don't give him to much trust and if he is ready to give up it will help him to make that choice, he will also need allot of support like a small child. I speak from first hand experience, it took me six year of constant prodding to get my friend to give it up, and then i had to baby sit him through his entire rehab, and in the end i think it was well worth it :]
P.S. if you are going to try this just know that you have to be committed and see it all the way through or he may never try again.

He's gonna need lots of help heroin and meth aren't like weed, the percentage of people who stop using heroin is very slim. He needs professinol help and he has to be very willing to do it or it wont work. And GF might look normal but that doesn't mean anything. Good luck to you.

You can try to help him...but it will do no good until his ready to get help for himself...
I know my brother does drugs and i have tried a few times to help him...until he stoled cash from my wife..
But I hear the best help is by not helping them at all.turn them away..I know it's hard and it will hurt and it does seem cruel...bur it is the best thing to do.

Get all of his friends together and have an intervention. Confront him about his drug use and give him an ultimatum. Clean up or die! Those are his only two choices.

Work with his g/f...he's not good for her on that stuff. Take him to a hospital/recovery center. If all else fails, call the police.

He is going to need a intervention and it wont be easy. Perhaps you can go to NA (narcotics anonymous) meeting and ask them how you should proceed?
