Sometimes blacks are offended when other groups of people try to say that they know what discrimination feels like. This may be because we feel that people who do not have dark skin can easily blend into society. Blacks sometimes feel like they are the most hated and disrespected group on earth, and rightly so.

Acknowledging or even caring that other groups of people have experienced discrimination is a far reach for some blacks. They are like, "hey, don't tell me that you know discrimination. You don't know discrimination like I know discrimination." As the most looked down upon race on earth, some blacks just don't have room to hear about your "problems" even though your problems are real and valid.

I'm not black I'm Indian but I'll tell you why....
Africans have went Thought discrimination than any other race even today its still happening.... Did you forgot slavery the greatest crime against mankind???? even the days when blacks weren't allowed to sit in the front of the bus or even used a white restaurant or stairs..... so how could you say that the Irish were discriminated more Than anyone else............
But i think all that is history now and we must not hold on to the past i am not saying to forget it i am saying to gain strength from it and become different so changes would be there for our children.... we all need to stop the mental slavery and move on...every race or religion has been thought discrimination even today i go thought it everyday but i think positive and ignore the weak and ignorant and live my life to the fullest.

He just does not know Irish history. He probably thinks that white is white but that is not true...or at least it hasn't always been true. The Irish did catch their share of hell.

Probably because of the amount of discrimination blacks have had to deal with in this country. Though the Irish do have to deal with a lot of stupid stereotypes, they haven't had to deal with the kind of discrimination that blacks have had to.
