Don't know how true this is, but I had a friend who's doctor told her to go home and have sex. There is something in the man's semen that gets contractions started. I guess it worked for them, as soon as they were done, labor started.

Look it is not pleasant and at 37 weeks, i would definetely not recommend it, babies are premature at this stage, The baby needs to be at least 38 weeks---even then the fingernails are not fully developed.....I know i had one natural at 38 weeks.
This baby is only 37 weeks ---no I am not even going to tell u, it needs to grow.
Please do not try to deliver a 37 week old baby---u will have lots more medical bills....My 38 week old infant was almost a still born. It was natural labor but he drowned before he was born.
Please be patient only a couple more weeks.

All in due time. I was dilating at 36 weeks and packed the bags. Delivered at 40 weeks + 5 days.... to a healthy lil' girl. Let nature pick the day/time.

I've heard of these things... though none worked for me... sex and LOTS of walking (helps the baby settle down in the canal). Good luck!

I am too 37 weeks & 2 days, but my doctor will be inducing me before my due date on Oct 15th due to chronic hypertension. You can try and I am sure you have heard of them all:
Sex
Nipple Stimulation
Castor Oil
Lots of Walking
Black & Blue Cohosh
But just so you know you can always try & induce yourself but your body wont react to labor unless your body & your baby is ready to come.If you have had your cervix checked & know more or less where you cervix stands (exp- 50% effaced,2 centimeters,-1 station) then you can try this website help find out if your cevix is favorable for an induction. It also has natural ways to induce labor, hth

When I was pregnant with my second child, my water broke, but no labor. They made me do a lot of walking to induce labor. So, I think it's safe for you to do some walking, just make sure you walk with someone so just incase you go into labor while walking there is someone there with you. Goodluck!!!

My OB told me to get the baby out the same way I got it in. Now go have some fun with your husband!

Just do a lot of walking. It helps you. Also you can have sex. It sounds funny but I come from a family full of Doctors and they all told me to have sex. Not ruff though..

I hate to tell you this, but no rememdy, home or medical (outside of medical induction) is going to work until mother nature is ready. Your body knows what it's doing. Trust it!
