I've got chrome tips on my muffler and I need to know how to keep both the inside and outside of the tips clean.

go and get chrome cleaner. its at walmart . go hence anc have fun

I use a product called Auto Sole (cream) sold here in Australia it great for any chrome surfaces and with plenty of elbow grease all chrome rubs up like new.Best about this product is a little bit goes a long way

unfortunately you will always have a slight "discoloration' due to heat but chrome cleaner is perfect for keeping it clean
if it has a rainbow appearance this is normal for chrome when it heats up

i like a product called solvol autosol...it is a chrome and aluminium polish that works extremely well. it comes in a tube and is a white paste and can be purchased at most any auto parts store. even wal mart sells it.

"mothers" brand chrome cleaner is very good
