It really depends on the man. I really can't answer this question for you, nor can anyone else.
If you became a Nurse.. You could be a traveling Nurse and get paid 40+ dollars an hour.. And your room and board would be paid everywhere that you went.. Which, in my opinion, would be awesome.
So, if you like to travel and have an interest in being a Nurse... You could and should look into that.
As for criminal justice... One of the great things about getting a degree in that is that it's such a broad field.. But, again, the pay tends to be a bit low until you get quite a few years of experience under your belt... Unless you minor in something else, such as Political Science, or double Major in both.
I'd love to do either... Both are fields that I would enjoy.. But with me, the pay would be a huge factor in my decision.
You should look up the career opportunities that are available for both degrees and decide what you want to do because, again, we can't really do that for you.

Does it matter, do what you feel is best. You have to truly be dedicated to nursing. It's very competitve to get in and stressful, but very rewarding. Men are starting to become just as equal as women in the nursing realm. Don't know much about criminal justice it is a broad range that has so much you can do with. If you want to mess with blood and injections, go with nursing, if you wanna deal with crimes and justice, go with criminal justice...lol. It's your call.

Nursing! You can just about write your own ticket in a lot of places. If you are good, you can make a 6 figure income in nursing. Many places offer signing bonuses of up to $10,000 just to go to work for them. The population is growing and getting older, the need for medical care just keeps increasing, and the number of nurses stays about the same. Just be prepared for long hours and hard work the first few years!

I can tell you people are talking about a huge shortage of nurses coming in the next few years. You'll likely be in high demand if you choose that path. Nurses are often underpaid for their services, however.
I have no information on criminal justice.

If you live in the USA there is a REAL shortage of medical personnel. Nurses are extremely overworked because of this. GREAT job security!!!! There are men who are a lot more comfortable with male nurses, too.
While being more "macho" the criminal justice thing has plenty so less job security there.
