Purchase a replacement unit and follow the installation directions backwards. It should be as simple as disconnecting the water line (be sure to turn the water off first), unplug some wires and removing a couple of screws.

This is how I did my Kenmore- Turn off the power and loosen the screws attaching the icemaker to the wall of the freezer. Some screws need to be totally removed while others can be loosened and the icemaker will slip off of them when lifted. Unplug the wires to the icemaker and install new one in reverse order. 15 minute job.
