I do not think you should be mad. Perhaps his Mom has wanted this for a long time. Perhaps she put off buying herself many things as she was raising your husband and his siblings. I do not know her age, health, or financial condition, so it is hard to say anything concrete. Now if she has mega bucks, and is healthy and vibrant, and uses her influence over her son against you, than by all means, give your Hubby a piece of your mind. If not , and the mom in law and you are friends, than tell your husband how nice it was for him to give these gifts to mom. At the same time tell him that you would prefer a very special bottle of the bubbly for your next romantic get together, and that although the diamond bracelet was nice for mom, the one you are expecting very soon is a little more extravagant. Good luck, and you go girl.

It really depends has he gave you a diamond bracelet in the past or champagne?? If so maybe he thought since he got you this before then he needed to get you something else. Did you ask for dishes or silverware? If he has never got this kind of stuff for you then I think it's strange for him to buy this for his mother but that is just my thoughts..

Should u be mad? Well that's up to u. Personally I wouldn't give a flying duck if my husband gave his mom a diamond jewelry set. Afterall, that's his mother.

what IS it with women and diamonds, anyway!
Whats the matter - you didn't get enough stuff?
Your husband could have been sick and unable to give you anything.
You could be a widow and have nothing but an empty Christmas full of memories.
Put your life in perspective - and stop being so selfish!

Ah, ya...that is a little weird. Actually you should have received all of the above. Mom would have settled for a visit... a normal one anyway.

Yes, that would be very upsetting! Wow, how very inconsiderate of him.
It is done and over with though, and I am sure that you have talked to him about this already. If you have not, I would.
Christmas will be coming up again soon, this year, let's hope he makes up for his mistakes! If not, go out and buy something very nice for yourself, and tell him THANK YOU!
