I am on the school volleyball team and I like being on it .
But I thimk it is getting in the way of my studies.
I have practice two times a week until 5:00 pm and I get home and can get all my homework done.
But on game days I get home at 8:00 pm and barely have time to do my homework, and All i can do is a brief study then i go to sleep! How can I have time to study! So far i have straight A's but this is just the beggining of the year!

There are many factors to consider when setting your priorities. Only you can decide, of course.

What is your purpose for attending college? Are you wanting to enter a competitive academic graduate program. Then I would lean toward dropping volleyball so you can continue the straight A's and have a little "down-time" with friends as well. You don't want to burn out, especially over volleyball.

Are you seeking a profession sports career, a job in physical education, physical therapy, or are you networking with friends primarily through your volleyball activities? Are you benefitting from a necessary volleyball scholarship? This would argue for letting your grade suffer a bit for the sake of volleyball.

For the sake of emotional health, learning and academic excellence I would lean away from volleyball. On the other hand, if you have been overweight and aerobically unfit, and now find yourself much more healthy as a result of volleyball, then you might decrease your academic load and take a little longer to complete college.

Just some random considerations. I'm sure you've thought of more. God bless you and give you wisdom to discern.

Remember that like all difficult things, there is usually an end to the difficulty. Volleyball will end soon, so try to enjoy it. And though it might not sound real exciting, you might have to play catch-up on the weekend on your studying. Hardship builds character, and if you can get through this, you'll feel great and more confident about other things!

Try getting the homework assignments ahead of time from the teacher, and doing some of that on the weekend.

Also, try doing some of your homework during lunch and before school.

Don't watch TV.

If you have all A's then chill.... You obviously have free time to be on Yahoo. So you must not be too busy.
