I feed my pets in a certain room, and the ants always get to the food. I have too many pets to buy all individual ant dishes, so I was wondering how could I stop them coming in at all? Can I put something across the places they enter? Thank you

Ants generally will not cross any line of powder. Ive had success with comet cleanser. If it were my problem however I would spray around the foundation of the house with a pesticide to prevent them from entering the home at all. Spectracide makes a good insect spray which when applied per product instructions will eleminate ALL pests. Fabric softener sheets also keep ants out of cabinets, etc.

20 Mule Team Borax laundry soap, put the dry soap in a ketchup squeese bottle apply along baseboard and anywhere else you see signs of ants, leave it lay for a few days until you no longer see any signs of ants then vacuum up excess, they will carry it back to their nest and it will kill them, do not leave your pet food set on the floor, if the bowls are small slip them in zip lock bags when the pets are done eating so the ants will go for the laundry soap and not the pet food.

yes, sugar free ground Cinnamon, they will not cross it, I have seen this work and used it for many years. My Grandmother taught it to me. make a solid line of it wherever they are entering the room. And it is not the least bit dangerous for your pets.

We use a cheap dollar store brand of dishwashing liquid, put a line down and they won't cross it. We have 6 katz, and it doesn't bother them, just don't get the kind with the bleaching action, just the regular ole cheap stuff. They don't like soap.
