It takes about 3 weeks to break a habit.
Make up your mind to quit doing it and do not give in for any reason or excuse. Just say no.
Think about how happy you will feel to be free of the habit.

A habit is harder to break than a addiction (ie tobacco) in my opinion. An addiction leaves your body in a few weeks, the habit is all a mind game. When you get the desire, of your habit, think of something else.
