A pair of baggy jeans, rolled up at the hem to half way up your calf. A oversized white buttondowned mans shirt. A pony tail in your hair with a ribbon around the elastic. Try to get a pair of saddle shoes ( white & black shoes ). That should do it.

Go to a second hand store and buy a skirt thats straight or flare and below the knee, dark colors would be best. If you can find it in wool this would be great. Buy a white long sleeve cotton shirt or blouse so you can roll up the sleeves. Purchase an extra wide belt to tie it together. You will also need short white nylon socks, with lace if you can find them. Wear these with flats or black & white oxfords. Long bangs and a ponytail tied with a long tie or scarf. You will be the hit of the party!!!

if there are any vintage stores around, go there, if not, go online. as far as vintage looks, think shirtdresses with full an a-line hem, and peeptoe heels. also, cute little cardigans with "pedal pushers"- gap has this whole new ad campaign with audrey hepburn aka- style icon of the fifties. if you look her up, then more ideas should come.

1. white blouse, felt skirt (with a crinoline if you can find one), neckerchief, cinch belt, ponytail, white buck shoes or saddle shoes.
2. knit jersey turtleneck, khaki (tan) pants or black velvet pants (usually worn with a pink top), ballerina slippers. And of course, dark red lipstick.
