Is it ok to ask out a taller, older 10th grade girl, when I'm only in 9th grade? Also, I don't know if she has a bf, so how can I find out? (I don't know any of her friends, so I can't find out thru that). The only class I have with her ends after Christmas, and we are really good friends right now, but if she says no, then it will be too awkward for me to talk to her again...... ideas?

You are already in a class with her, so just spark up a conversation with her about class. After some inane conversation, ask if her BF is taking her to the winter formal(dance) It'll answer your question is she's taken, and be a perfect lead in to YOU asking to take her to it if she's available.

Maybe get to know her better before asking her out, try to find out if she has a bf without actully coming out and saying it, but just some advise..if you don't want to wreck your friendship, then i would just stay friends, if you guys arnt that close of friends then it might be ok to ask her out
