I think davidg is correct.

It does not say you will not prepare dinner any other day of the week. So from the original, I could theoretically prepare dinner on Tuesday and still have a correct sentence. Therefore "If I prepare dinner, then it is Wednseday night" is INCORRECT.

What it does say is "On Wednesday Night, I prepare dinner."
Therefore,
If it is Wednesday Night, then I prepare dinner.

Or in Programming
if Night="Wednesday" then sub Prepare_Dinner

;-)

You can not. But you could say:
"If you see me preparing dinner THEN it must be wednesdaynight."
