Who have the Seahawks beaten so far? Detroit, who is 0-3, Arizona who are 1-2, and NYG who are 1-2. So they have 3 wins against teams which are a combined 2-7. Yes, they can't do more than beat who they play, but so far they haven't beaten anybody. They have Chicago and Minnesota coming up, how those games turn out will say a lot about the 'Hawks.

They do have to be concerned about how much Hasselbeck is getting hit. Alexander's injury is big (Holmgrem is looking supremely stupid to have kept him in when they were so far ahead of the Giants, given he was already limping from a bruised foot suffered in week 1).

There's a lot of parity in the NFC, yes, which is another way of saying there are no dominant teams. I would, however, include Seattle in that group. How they looked late against the Giants does not exactly make them look supreme, nor does beating Detroit 9-6.

Working in Seattle's favor is a really, really soft schedule. They play in a weak division (Arizona and San Francisco), and on top of that they play Detroit, Oakland, Green Bay, Kansas City and Tampa? That's 9 games against teams that suck. How does that happen?

They've only got 2 road games against tough opponents - Chicago and Denver. And there's only one game that seems to be risky as a "bad weather" game - the Denver game in early December.

They seem to be a lock to win at least 11 games, and could without too much problem win 12 or 13. That would put them in great position to go to the big game.

I would put odds in the NFC of going to the SuperBowl at: Seattle 25%, Chicago 25%, Atlanta 20%, NFC East winner 15%, some other team 15%. I know Atlanta got beaten badly in NO tonight, but they are still a team to be watched.

Due to the relative parity in the NFC, probably pretty good, especially considering that Carolina, the popular choice for NFC champions, has struggled out of the gate. One major advantage the Seahawks have is that Arizona and San Francisco are still young teams building for the future, so only St. Louis remains as the greatest obstacle to another division title. The acquisition of Branch from New England also helps. Losing Steve Hutchinson to the Vikings hurts, and Shaun Alexander being out indefinitely will also be difficult to overcome but the overall talent that Seattle has should give them a pretty good chance to make the big game. I can't really quantify their chances in percentages but I would say they have a very good shot to represent the NFC. For the record, I am a Cowboys fan but I am trying to answer this question as impartially as possible

nicely, if I had to guess i might say that the team that wins the two 19 or 20 video games ;) In all seriousness, one undertaking i like with regard to the NFL is that usually there are a pair of surprises each twelve months. that would not take place as in many situations in different activities (ok, oftentimes in baseball) Now, who might i might like or like to win the excellent Bowl? The Patriots for sure... bypass Pats!! (and that i do sense undesirable for the Packers, yet Moss or no Moss, there is not any way that they are going to win the excellent Bowl this twelve months)

even with Shaun Alexander, they were a long shot - but without him, they are toast unless some unknown steps up

They've got a 50-50 chance. (Either they do, or they don't.)
