I live in San Francisco, and it is not very cold in winter or very hot in summer. It may be down to 40 degrees and up to 60 in January and 55 to 70 in July. January and February are usually the rainy months, and one may not see any the rest of the year. There have been exceptions of course. I've seen several droughts with no rain in the city for three years. Some years are much rainier than usual. The warmest weather is in September and October with a few days in the 80's. The coldest I recall was a couple of days in December 1988 with 30 or so. In the mid-1990's, I recall three weeks of 90's.

I went to hawaii (oahu) for my honeymoon last year and loved it. The weather was great and it did rain a little while we were there but it didnt feel like it was raining at all, it was real warm and you dried of quick because of the humidity. It stays on average a constant 70 degrees year round and the ocean to go swimming and surfing stays in the 80's year round too. I hope this helps.

Portland. Rarely below 50 degrees in the winter and rarely above 80 in the summer. Yeah, it rains, but that is better than snow :)

San Diego. It's still balmy in February when we get blizzards elsewhere.
