The Mariott in Lihue. Awesome hotel with the biggest swimming pool of all the islands - eight hot tubs around the edges of the pool with a waterfall in between each hot tub, fountains of water spraying into the pool with an island in the middle, with bridges spanning from the island to the pool's edges. Torches at night on the beach right outside and next to Don's, a fine restaurant with great food. And be sure to take the "Jungle Hike" to the waterfall. There's a real adventure. And if you want to spend the money, look up Gerry and take an ultralight flight along the Napali Coast.

• Kilauea Lighthouse – A short walk to the cliffs provides an awesome view. The rocky promontory is home to great frigate birds and red-footed boobies. And sometimes, one can see monk seals, green turtles, whales and dolphins.
• Spouting Horn at Sunset – Bring your camera for the shot of the blowhole’s spray silhouetted against the flaming sky. The blowhole spews wave action through a lava tube, then up through an opening in the rocky plateau. During the day, tour buses descend upon the parking lot, so plan a sundown rendevous for a more intimate setting.
• Haena Beach at Sunset – Another great evening spot is on the warm, white sands at Haena. The scene is so intoxicating that it’s a favorite location to photographers shooting bikini-clad models in the protected lagoon.
• Lumahai Beach – Probably Kauai’s most famous beach. While the water is usually too rough for safe swimming, the view is more than enough to kindle the heart’s fire. The vista that came to symbolize “paradise” has hardly changed since the movie “South Pacific” was filmed here. Create your own paradise by taking a long, leisurely walk to the secluded south end of the beach.
• Hanapepe – Affectionately known as “Kauai’s Biggest Little Town,” Hanapepe is a friendly place to stroll. Family eateries and quaint shops beckon the road traveler to stop and visit for a while. Don’t miss the Hanapepe Valley over look, which provides a panoramic view of the taro-laden valley. Yet another perfect place to kiss.
Kauai's Most Romantic Evening (877-877- 8908) - a private Clydesdale-drawn carriage ride tours you through Kilohana estate, and then to Gaylords Restaurant for a specially chosen romantic dinner with champagne and desert. Would be a great idea if you're thinking about where to propose on Kauai!
Gloria's Spouting Horn Bed and Breakfast is Hawaii's only four star, luxury oceanfront B and B. Glorias has three spacious oceanfront rooms, all with private bath with a deep soaking tub (Japanese furo), wetbars, oceanfront lanais, and four-poster beds.

The American Bed & Breakfast Association rated Glorias in the top 25 B & B's nationwide! Glorias has been featured on PBS's Country Inn Cooking.
This Poipu bed and breakfast is located on the sunny south shore of Kauai, home of the worlds #1 ranked "Poipu Beach."
Championship Golf courses, snorkeling, surfing, kayaking and hiking are all just minutes away. You will be greeted each morning with one of Gloria's famous full breakfasts and each afternoon with her open bar and pupus.

Aliomanu Bay is very nice and secluded, good snorkeling. Hanalei is beautiful. That's where puff the magic dragon is from. Kaui is my favorite island for relaxing, walking on the beach, snorkeling. The Resort at Princeville is very nice. You can visit and use their private beach without having to pay the high cost of staying there. Hanalei North Shore Properties offers good rates on week rentals. They have a web site with pictures of some cool island houses.

The whole island is romantic. Hanalee Bay is great, lots of neat places to go. It's pretty small, so you can see everything in a week.
