U can use norton partition magic 8 or use XP setup cd to create the partitions and delete them.

You don't want to delete the partition. Keep Vista on it's own partition and use the other for all the rest of your stuff.

If it is a blank hard drive, you can create a new partition and format it with the Windows OS disk itself (assuming it's like XP).
If you have a current install of Windows, look at using something like MS Virtual PC or MS Virtual Server. They are free applications that let you install multiple OS's that run ontop of your current desktop and can be removed at your convienence.
