What NFL Team was a new Franchise along with the Bengals?

Question

I know when they bring in new teams they usually do it in two's....Tampa Bay with SeaHawks etc...did the Bengals have a team that came in with them in '68????

The Saints actually came into the NFL the year before, in 1967.

The Bengals came into the AFL in 1968 to balance out that league, as they had added Miami as the ninth franchise in 1966. Cincinnati actually went into the Western Division of the AFL to go along with Denver, Kansas City, Oakland, and San Diego. The East was Houston, Boston (later New England), Buffalo, New York, and Miami. When the two leagues merged in 1970, the Oilers and Bengals were placed in the AFC Central with two of the three NFL teams which switched conferences, the Steelers and Browns. The Colts were basically added to the AFL East to form the AFC East, while the other four AFL West teams formed the AFC West.

So, there was no other team that came in with the Bengals.
