I'm thinking no. You can't judge America based on one movie. People who are saying that Jackass 2 makes America look stupid are ridiculous. Americans can let loose and enjoy a silly movie that's far from the norm. Does everyone want to see straight laced boring movies? No.
I actually saw Jackass 2, and it was hilarious. You can't compare a silly movie to a whole country's attitude. What does everyone else think?

Yes you can.

We have a sense of humor. We have freedom to do with our time and money what we please.

We may look stupid, but seriously how great of a country is this that some jackasses can become world superstars because they know what people want to see.

At least our women don't have to wear veils. We can do what we want for a living. And we can ask questions like this one.

So ya, it does say something about America =)

I think you've answered your own question lol. However, I think Jackass's success is related to the fact that even the most straight-laced person likes seeing people do dumb things and as the saying goes:
It's all fun and games till someone gets hurt....
and then it's just fully hilarious!

It's cause watching these guys get hurt deliberately is like the episode where Bart Simpson sticks his tongue in a blender - you kow they'll get hurt but it's still funny.

The D&C says "He who should be suggested in all issues is a slothful and in no way a wise servant" this signifies that we opt to take the regulations of the gospel and include them into our lives. we choose decide for ourselves what's sweet and what's incorrect. we were given some particular regulations which includes the regulation of chastity and the note of awareness. Minor such issues as this are left to ourselves to settle on. i'd imagine about it this way. we were suggested to no longer enable unclean impacts into our homes or our minds. we are left to decide what's unclean. we choose the Holy ghost to be with us in any respect situations. He can merely keep on with us after we are doing the right project. you want to ask your self "If I watch this movie, will the Spirit stay right here with me?" i'm to blame of often times watching irrelevant programing. i'm very choosy about the flicks I watch. I truly have not considered any of those video clips. i'm no longer conscious of Borat, yet something do not help my own beliefs of strategies to stay a reliable existence. i trust that if i visit those video clips and promises the manufacturers funds so as that i visit observe them, that i'm encouraging them to make better video clips like that. the tale strains contained in the flicks you said are all about human beings being immoral. i really imagine that if we watch this stuff, we help the human beings who cause them to and then we encourage them to make better. also the problem comes into our minds and promises us unclean ideas. Yeah often times they are humorous, yet no longer proper. you should make your own determination in this. in case you experience like it truly is misguided to observe those sorts a video clips, then you honestly must trust that feeling. you do not omit a lot by no longer watching them.
