a cereal or oatmeal box. 2 holes on each side, a string coming out of each hole. By pulling any one string you can make any of the other string move, not all 3 remaining strings, but one at a time, does this make sense, I can't figure out how to do this...help..thaNKS

BY PULLING ONE OF THE FOUR STRINGS, YOU CAN MOVE ALL OF THE OTHER 3 STRINGS BUT INDIVIDUALLY, NOT AT THE SAME TIME, AND YOU CAN DO THIS BY PULLING ON ANY OF THE FOUR STRINGS, ONE AT A TIME

Not a real science project. Stupid.
If you pull a string the other end will move ... stupid is as stupid does. Duh.

My guess would be to thread it like an X. Put the holes so there is one below the other... then wire 2 strings, so the string is linked through the top hole in one side, bottom of the other, repeat it with the other string so hopefully the strings are touching (so it looks like an X inside the box)... when you pull it, all strings from all holes should move. ..I hope that's what you mean. If not, good luck.
