Xerox is not a true verb, In slang terms is is used as one. But it is still not proper.
X-ray in a type of radiation agan used improperly .
People do not really understand that Americans use so much slang when we speak or write.
They have yet to be acceped into the English Language Dictionary. Its the same for most languages too
Try searching "slang"...you will find that there is a huge amount of words that are not real words or improper uses of real words.
