Unfortunately I remember more than I'd like to admit. the good thing is I can use it to help my 3 older kids in school now(9th grade,6grade3, and 5Th grade). However they keep changing things around.............

I think a high school education should be required for everyone. It's not so much what you learn, but who you are and how old you are when you learn it. It takes a more mature perspective than an eight-year old can muster to understand the possibilities an education provides and how the skills they learn can be used.
Those are very important years in social development. Teenagers need each other. Desperately, as I recall.
As for passing or failing high school exams today, I figure that based on the knowledge that's been embedded in my head these many years, I could "best guess" my way to a passing score.

I use the lessons I learned but not really the academic things. There's probably a good chance that I would pass, but that's only because I still have a high school aged brother that I help with homework.

I would probably fail because I just did okay in High school. I was more of a social butterfly. I didn't pay that much attention to notes and stuff like that. I should have because now I am teacher and I cherish my Teacher Editions!! LOL
