It isn't a disgrace, but it just interferes with the beauty of a woman. For instance, think of an attractive model in a slim, strapless dress. Her arms are over her head in elation. You would admire her form, but dark patches are drawing your eyes to them instead of the seemless curves of her body. In this instance, the armpit hairs are disrupting your picture of her because it is like gravy on a wedding dress. Without the hair, your eyes would follow her silhouette and you'd appreciate her form more.
Honestly, I have gone with and without shaving. I will shave more in the summer when I wear outfits without sleeves. In the winter, who would know if I shaved?

Which reminds me, speaking of armpit hairs, here's a tradition in China that when a girl shaves her armpits, that'll mean she's no more a virgin or other bad interpretations. But that was before though, times have changed I guess. Just for sharing! =)
But not all women think it's a disgrace though. Some prefer their pits to be unshaved. Some don't bother also though it doesn't mean they're not hygienic. They're just too comfortable with themselves. Some also thinks it's part of being an artistic person. Can't recall specific supporting details but that's basically it.

lady, it really is as a lot as you. do not pay interest to those human beings. If it would not difficulty you, go away it. it is your body. at the same time as i changed into youthful I enable mine advance each and each of the time! I hated having the itchy bumps from shaving, and if no man or woman said it, who cares? you would enable it advance throughout the time of wintry climate and shave contained in the summer season, or only no longer shave in any respect. it really is this variety of taboo element, yet i have not shaved my legs or armpits for the reason that i changed into 13, and that i'm 20 now. in spite of the indisputable fact that, I do have very nice hair and by no skill placed on tank tops. i have had boyfriends who ought to care a lot less, and which skill plenty to me. It only relies upon on how gentle you're with your self as a man or woman.

I'll be honest with you... I dont shave at all. I dont shave my legs nor my arm pits... i think the only thing that I have ever shaven was my head but hey I got 300 dollars out of the deal. So what is my complaint. Deoderant and a good antipersperent will do just fine.

No. Some women have nice soft armpit hair.
I like it washed and perfumed.
Having lived in an Arctic climate, I see the value in having hair.

I always make sure I shave my underarm hair. I'll go a couple days without shaving my legs but I'll be damned if I'll skip shaving my underarms. It's so emabarrassing to lift your arm and have hair under there. (but a man who shaves his underarms is soooo gay!) My husband would make fun of me hardcore if I had even the smallest trace of underarm hair. It's just something you do if you're a woman.

It's not a disgrace, but it's unnattractive. It's the same reason most men shave their faces and women shave their legs.

Well, that depends on where you live and what your cultural background is....and of course personal preference. Most Americans think arm pit hair is gross and unattractive, but if your in Europe they tend to not shave. Different ways of thinking, ya know everybody is different.

It depends on the woman and the hair itself. I have seen some women who I felt got away with it because it did not "look bad" on them. I am talking about American women. I have seen plenty from Europe who do not shave.
