Which is better and why? Stargate SG1 or Stargate Atlantis?

Currently, Atlantis.
Because the show is so new and the story lines keep evolving. The humor is top notch over there.
But, SG1's new characters keep me watching because I love to see where they are going and love the Arthurian arc.
But dollar for dollar, Atlantis is stealing the show!

a million. Stargate SG-a million 2. Clone Wars 3. The jedi fer useful- Bratak is Oold 4. The Fetts 5. Rodney 6. Mar' Tuf 7. Daniel Jackson 8. Season 3 -- cant even think of of a particular episode on the 2nd 9. Frasier for useful

That's a tough question.... I like a lot of the technology from Atlantis, But Atlantis is a spinoff of SG1. In my opinion, if the movie was good enough to spawn a sequel, it's better than the sequel. By this logic, original series are better than the spinoffs.

SG1...its been around longer...i have to come to know the characters better than in atlantis and it is easier to relate to them. Also been watching the show since it started...just sort of a "habit" to like the original best.

THE TV SHOWS ARE OKAY BUT I PREFER THE MOVIE. JAMES SPADER WAS COOL THERE.
