First thing you do is mulitply the number on the outside of the brackets by each of the number inside the brackets.
5z + 7 = (6z - 12) - (8z - 12)
Now, you want to remove the brackets, but make sure you reverse the sign if there is a - infront (it's like multiplying again by an imaginary -1)
5z + 7 = 6z - 12 - 8z + 12
Move the numbers containing "z" to one side and constants to the other. Remember to switch signs when you move across the "=" sign.
5z - 6z + 8z = -12 +12 -7
Add the like terms together.
7z = -7
Isolate the "z" by dividing both sides of the equation by number in front of "z".
7z/7 = -7/7
7 divided by 7 = 1 and -7 divided by 7 = -1
So the final answer is:
z = -1
Double check your answer by plugging the -1 into all the "z" variable.
5(-1) + 7 = 6[(-1) - 2] - 4[2(-1) - 3]
-5 + 7 = -6 - 12 - 4(-2 - 3)
2 = -6 - 12 + 8 + 12
2 = 2
If both sides equal, then the answer is correct.

Solve Z on one side of the equation and the values on the other.
5z + 7 = 6 (z-2) - 4(2z -3)
Multiply 6 and 4 through their respective parenthesis, and don't forget the NEGATIVE on the 4 goes through also:
5z +7 = (6z - 12) + (-8z +12)
5z +7 = 6z - 12 - 8z +12
Move the z to one side of the equal sign (add the opposite)
5z - 6z +8z + 7 = -12 +12
Get the 7 on the opposite side
5z - 6z +8z = -12 +12 -7
7z = -7
z = -1

5z+7=6z-12-8z+12
5z+7= -2z
-5z-2z=7
-7z=7
z= -1
Hope this helps. Not sure if your trying to solve for z.

C'mon dude, its simple. Do the same thing on the left of the equation as the right and you will always solve the variable!

3(z+2)=5z+6 then the quantity outdoors the paranthesis ability you will multiply it those witnin the paranthesis. 3z+6=5z+6 then you somewhat will circulate the comparable form of numbers comparable ingredient.. 6-6=5z-3z 0=2z then z=0/2 meaning z=0
