This is a bad idea. Gerbils are too high energy for the gentler guinea pig and can even harm them.
There is soo much misinformation out there about guinea pigs. For instance it is a very bad idea to place guinea pigs with rabbits. Yes they get along however, rabbits often hurt guine pigs because of their powerful hind legs. Many guinea pigs have suffered internal injuries and even death because of being placed with rabbits.
Before getting a guinea pig I highly suggest checking out this website: http://guineapigcages.com This is the best site I know of that you can learn everything you ever wanted to know about guinea pigs but were afraid to ask.

Gerbils and guinea pigs won't get along, there is too much of a size difference. Guinea pigs do get along with rabbits though.
By the way, when the gerbils become sexually mature, you will have baby gerbils every month until one of them dies.

Sorry, sounds fun but Guinea pigs get alot bigger than gerbils. I worked at a pet store and they would put the guinea pigs with rabbits the guinea pigs would bite the rabbits ears and hurt them . I am not a fan of guinea pigs. but its up to you.

Gerbils are high strung, high metabolism, eat a different diet, will terrorize the guinea pig and then escape and eat all the electrical cords.

i think they would. the gerbils would nip at the guinea pig. most rodents just dont like each other. i once put together a baby rat with adult mice and it turned into a bloodbath. it was like the texas incisor tooth massacre.

No, they wouldn't get along. If your gerbils mate, the guniea pig may eat the pinkies. gerbils and guniea pigs are rodents, and two different subspecies of rodents wont work together well.
