Once they've developed on your body there's pretty much nothing you can do to get rid of them. The only thing you can proactively do is try to PREVENT them. And, even with that there's no sure way to prevent them. Some things I have heard of are to put lotion on daily. I do this after I step out of the shower. Supposedly, the more moist your skin is, the better it can "stretch" if it needs to. The cocoa butter thing is a myth. I've tried it. It does nothing more than moisturize your skin which you can do with lotion like I said. In fact, real cocoa butter is hard to spread and I felt like I was stretching my skin more just to put it on the one time I tried it years and years ago.
Then, you're also supposed to help it stay hydrated from inside by drinking enough water every day.

hi Marlo, i'm no longer confident of you've tried the product Bio-oil as you do not say, even if it quite helped me. I have very tremendous hips and that i'm a more beneficial lady so I have quite tremendous breasts. I had tremendous pink-purple stretch marks throughout my hips and coming down in direction of my thighs, and on my breasts. I used Bio-oil when I first all started noticing those marks as they quite bothered me. In some months that they had all dwindled to a dwindled silver or were thoroughly lengthy gone. i do not use Bio-oil anymore, as I even haven't any more beneficial stretch marks, yet after I note anymore i will use it back. i love Bio-oil and plus, it smells quite scrumptious, such as cinnamon buns :) I do not ignore that there has been various undesirable comments of the product, even if it worked for me and my cousin. We both had quite undesirable marks, now we do not. attempt Bio-oil. i desire this product enables you because it helped me :) strong success xo

You can try cocoa butter which many of users already recommended. But no harm trying a new technique called Microdermabrasion. Relatively painless & effective !

Once they are white, the damage is done and they can't be removed.
You have to apply reduction creams when they are still red/purple.
