Even though I have very particular opinions and tastes in many things, I'm usually not stereotyped, and I like it. However, I've gotten "b*tch", "punk", and "scene kid" before. Absolutely laughable.

I grew up in Iowa. Im half black half white. Alot of times people seem to think your dumb and uneducated if you wear baggy clothes and a du rag. I also graduated in the top 10 percent of my highschool class. Ive learned that even when people realize your not dumb they tend to brush me off as just another dumb black guy from the slums. Everyone is stereotyped, but you just cant let it affect you. If anything it made me want to explore both sides of my race more and show people by example that they are wrong, even if my pants are below my a s s and blast my rap from my open car on dubs. White people also tend to watch their stuff around me more. You know, clutch their purse just a little tighter.

I've surfed all my life. Sometimes when people discover this, they immediately make the moronic surfer dude voice. I'll be the first to agree that a lot of surfers can be dim-witted and use a particularly annoying dialect, but this is still a stereotype that peeves me. Having said that...I consider myself a man that surfs, and NOT A SURFER! lol

Well, since I am female - when a new person comes into our office they somehow automatically assume that I am the secretary.
And I'm not ugly - so people usually think I'm kind of stupid too.
And then to watch them react when they realize I'm actually pretty far up the corporate ladder and have a Master's Degree...sometimes its actually funny.

Born in 1952, I had an impressive third grade instructor who taught us spelling through phonetics. Our class continually received the spelling Bs, and so on. I shop in ideas fairly she taught that the "t" changed into silent in "commonly". (only one in each of those verbal guidelines to memorize). Like many others right here, it only grates on my ears to hearken to that problematic "t". It even seems that some audio gadget favor to over emphasize it for some reason.

Many people tell me I look like their idea of Jesus. Of course, Jesus was actually a Black man, but the long-haired, bearded stereotype persists.

I'm blond (Fake thank you very much) and people act like because I'm nice to them I'm stupid. It's funny considering I'v always gotten good grades and am having my first book published.
wonder what they have accomplished at the ripe age of 21?
Oh and people only call you a b**** because you intimidate them, and don't kiss a** it's not your fault ;-)

I've gotten "You're pretty for a dark-skinned girl", and "you speak so proper on the phone I thought you were white". It's ridiculous the things people say when they don't think before they speak.

Nerd. But it's fun, 'cause I'm actually a geek. I get frustrated with pc's and printers when sumting doesnt work, I hate numbers, math, algebra, physics, chemistry, you name it.
But don't ask me about comic books or horror books, or I'll go on forever, I warn ppl all the time... And still they ask...

well, no one really knows what to call me...people tell me i am pretty, and i wear nice clothes, but i am a tomboy at heart!! i used to cut myself, but i am usually the happiest person my friends know!! i am kinda a dumb blonde, but i am a year ahead in math and taking all other advanced classes. i am shy in front of those i dont know, but the loudest in the group for those i do!!
