I'm 5'11 and I'm 130 lbs so, at 5'9 I'd say anywhere from 115 to 140 depending on your body structure.

You can calculate your "ideal" body weight using this formula. For women: for every inch above 5', multiply by 5 and add to 100. So for 5'9", your ideal weight is 100+9x5=145. You are exactly at your ideal weight. Another way to estimate if your weight is appropriate is to calculate your BMI (you can find a BMI calculator online). Your BMI is 21.4. A normal BMI is between 18.5-24.9, which corresponds to a weight range of 125-168 lbs. Rather than aim for a target weight, how about aiming to improve fitness? Physical exercise will help tone your physique & improve your health, even if you don't lose weight. You might lose weight quickly by dieting, but many studies have shown that it is usually regained within a year. However, those who make lifestyle changes (including exercise) increase their chances of keeping the weight off.

I saw this thing on TV where all the models who avg. 5'9 and are in the Madrid Fashion Show week must weigh 123 or they can't participate. I guess the average model is 5'9 and 110 lbs. and that is way too skinny. I'm 5'8 and have a small frame and weigh 132 lbs. and people tell me I look too skinny still. I guess 140 lbs. is a good weight then but I think it depends on your frame and age.
