I am a single mother. My daughter is a little over a 1 1/2. I work full time from 3-12 in the evening. I also go to school two days a week. As of right now my two younger brothers, who live with me watch her when i leave to go to work and school. I'm not comfortable with her being around them, i'm affraid she'll pick up bad habits. I want to put her in day care but i feel like I wouldn't get to see her until the the week. Her father mother told me, I'm doing too much. She say i shouldn't go to school and i shouldn't work at that time off night. should i take her advice and quit school and find another job or is there another way!!! HELP PLEASE!!!!

While she may be right about putting your child's needs ahead of your own, I don't feel that quitting school and your job is the right thing to do either. I really don't see why putting her in a day care would be such a bad thing. We put our son in day care when he was little and it was the best thing we could've done for him at that time. We tried the babysitter thing, but like you said, it really wasn't the environment that he needed. I admire your courage for wanting to better yourself right now,and I think you should stick with your plan! Once you finish school, you will be able to get the type of job that you desire, and will be making much better money because of it. Just stick with your guns, honey. Don't let your daughter's Grandma or anyone else tell you what's best for your daughter. Only you know that, OK? Good luck to you sweetheart, and God Bless!!

no offense to grandma but if she has so much to say, then why doesn't she keep her while u are at work?? exactly. where is the father? is he working also??, my advice would be to put your child in daycare, i have a kid also and i am in school. finish school, don't quit. because you have think for more than one person now, not just yourself. it may be hard but it will all work out in the end. God bless you.

Putting her in day care would be much better for her than leaving her at home with two little boys. Don't quit school.

i'm not exactly sure why you wouldnt get to see your daughter as much if she was in daycare, but i wouldnt quit school. in the long run, you will be making a better life for you and your child. dont listen to anyone else, do what you feel is right.
