In the past few weeks, a friend of mine has commited suicide, I've been blackmailed for a large amount of money, my dad strongly dislikes me, and I'm in a fight with my friends. I am tired constantly, never feel like doing hobbies I used to enjoy, and can barely sleep. I am always crying when I'm alone or at home, sometimes screaming or close to vomiting. I've been losing weight, and constantly thinking of blood and death. I heard my parents having a fight about me when I couldn't do my schoolwork, and they think I should see a psychiatrist.

I've also had a murder threat, which is constantly on my mind.

Yes, you do need help. It could be depression. I would take your parents advice and get some help from a psychiatrist. Also, see the police and get a restraining order against the person or persons threatening you. I'm guessing you are young since you still live at home. You need help before your life gets too out of control. Take it a step at a time, and please tell your parents you need help and tell them about the threats.

Those are all the signs of depression and you certainly have good reason to be depressed. You need to solve some of these problems and that may make a big difference in the way you feel. Blackmail and murder threats are matters to talk to the police about. Try to settle the problems with your friends and get some counseling to help you with your dad. If you are still in school talk to your counselor.

Don't wait any longer, get some help. It is not a sign of weakness to ask for help. You have every right to be depressed considering your present problems and situation. Sometimes we all need to stop our present life and take care of our emotional health. Good luck and hang in there...sometimes you have to hit rock bottom to start climbing back up.

Wow. That is alot to deal with. It is way to much for you to deal with on your own. I think you should definitely tell your parents you want and need help. You should not wait. Get off the computer and go tell your parents you cannot handle all of this on your own and you need help. Tell them you want to see a therapist and a psychologist. They are two different things and combined they will help you get past all of this. Go now and talk to your parents. GO. Don't wait. You will start feeling better the sooner you can get help which could be as soon as tomorrow. GO!!!!!! Stop reading this, get off the computer and talk to your parents right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds to me like you should change your circle of friends. Choose a more nurturing environment for your self, consider volunteering in a position that deals with people worse off than yourself. You need a new direction, some new goals and remember to take baby steps and be good to yourself.

Sounds situational to me. I can't help wondering how someone who lives with their parents and goes to school has all that going on. Seeing a psychiatrist wouldn't hurt.

depression with axis 2 problems and possibly borderline traits...see a good psychologist....the psychiatrist will give you meds which may be somewhat helpful...but if you want long term life changes and be happy see a good psychologist or clinical social work therapist.

Absolutely - if you were not depressed I would say there was something wrong with you. What you are experiencing is a natural reaction to trauma and under these circumstances you need to talk to a doctor.
