No way. Never happens. Why should it? Nothing ever happens around here.

Until tomorrow, that is. I have faith that something will happen tomorrow.

But not the day after. Only a fool would believe in a future beyond tomorrow's bright promise.

I guess pessimism is under- rated by optimists like me.I always look at my cup as half full instead of half empty. And I count my blessings. That's why I look young for my age. I see the good in people. As it doesn't make sense to keep complaining. Nothing will get change. There's always a silver lining behind each cloud.

That is an interesting perceptual observation on an age old question.

Let me give you a for instance:

Is the glass half empty or half full (that is the most basic optimist/pessimist question around)

Now, let's throw perception into the mix. Are you pouring into the glass or drinking from the glass. As you can see, that adds another dimension to the age old question. Are you the giver or the receiver of the half filled glass.

My personal take on the situation is that the glass has the wrong fluid in it.

It should be filled with rum.

Over rated by pessimists definitely.Pessimism gets no one no where, an optimist always sees the good in a situation whilst the pessimist always sees the bad in a situation.Personally i think it is useless tho dwell on the negative.

Murphy's Law states that whatever can go wrong, will go wrong (or words to that effect). We each have our own ideas about how things should turn out. The more one plans, the greater the odds that things will turn out ok, generally. However, our life incorporates very complex, unpredictable systems. So, the likelihood that things will go 'wrong' i.e. not as predicated , is far in excess to them turning out right. So, my conclusion is that Pessimists have a stronger grip on reality as they incorporate Murphy's Law into their planning, whereas Optimists don't. As a consequence, Pessimists are never surprised at events going '**** up' whereas Optimists are continually having to recover from one disaster after another, kidding themselves that it will be better next time. ;-)

The question if a Glass is Half Full or Half empty surely depends on if it's your round or not!

Pessimism if under rated, except by Health and Safety managers.

Pessimism to optimists doesn't exist so it isn't rated either way and optimism to pessimists is doubtful.

That's like asking if the glass is half-empty, or half-full. Either way, it's the same thing.
